Multiple employees have an approved food safety certificate but are not yet registered with Buck County. A Department register certified food safety manager or CFSM must be on duty any time this facility is open or operating. Submit a CFSM application for all employees who have passed an approved food safety course.

Inspector Comments
The handwashing sink in the deli is backing up. Have this sink serviced to ensure the handwashing sink is accessible to staff at all times.

Inspector Comments
There is no written procedure for the frequency in which the deli slicers are cleaned. Per management, all deli silencer are disassembled and sanitized every 4 hrs. Written procedures must be available for the Department upon request to ensure the deli slicers are being properly sanitized. Have a procedure written for the deli slicer cleaning frequencies or implement a log book for staff to mark the time when the deli slicers were last sanitized.

Inspector Comments
The mechanical dishwasher in the bakery was not completing the rinse cycle. A high-temperature mechanical dishwasher must reach temperatures between 180 and 195 degrees F during the rinse cycle for proper sanitation. Have this dishwasher serviced. Until required temperatures can be reached, ensure all wares are manually sanitized in the three-compartment sink after being run through the dishwasher.

There is no Bucks County food safety manager certified by this Department (CFSM) on duty as required. A CFSM must be on duty at all times the facility is open and/or food is being prepared. Personnel on-site during inspection maintain current ServSafe Food Safety Manager certification. A completed application (SA-71) for CFSM must be submitted to the Department.

Facility utilizes portable handwashing kiosks where worker(s) conduct offering of (sampling) of ready-to-eat product(s). A handwashing sink must be available for food employee use. Portable handwashing sinks were provided during inspection.

Inspector Comments
1. Dead mouse found in snap trap in electrical room. 2. Numerous mouse droppings observed in the following ares: - Floor along exterior rear wall. - Center aisle floor between snack item displays. - Back room (behind deli/meat) floor and lower shelves. Remove droppings and discard to effectively monitor pest activity. Discard dead mouse. Clean affected areas. Contact facilty’s exterminator with findings and for additional monitoring and/or treatment. Per store manager, facility is sealing building’s exterior and is working with exterminator to control issue. 3. An air gap is present below the far right loading dock door (botttom right). Adjust sweep or provide equivalent protection against pest/vector entry.

1. Insulation around plumbing supply lines has torn and deteriorated, exposing fiberglass insulation. Affected material is exposed to constant moisture and is currently wet. 2. Cove base sealant/caulking is in poor condition and contains a green, mildew-like substance. Replace sealant in affected areas.

High-heat mechanical dishwasher in the Bakery prep room is not functioning properly. Unit shuts off during wash cycle (approximately one minute into cycle). Issue persisted during 6 and 2 minute cycle selections. All wares must be washed in the 3-compartment sink until unit is serviced and operating properly. Service ticket was initiated during inspection. Forward copy of service report to this Department.

Rodent droppings found along walls in back storage area of store. Remove and discard all droppings. Clean affected area. Reset several traps that are not properly set. Contact facility's exterminator with findings and for additional monitoring and/or treatment.

A leak is present in the drain line below the sanitize (far right) bay of the meat cutting room 3-compartment sink. Repair or replace affected plumbing fixture(s) to ensure proper opertaion and reduce conditions conducive to pest activity.
